He noted that the existing landfill in the village of Iskra has practically exhausted its resources, being 90 percent full.
“The area of the landfill is 2.9 hectares, and it is located on the windy side. In the event of a fire, the flames could spread quickly, posing a threat to both the population and the ecology of the region,” the deputy emphasized.
In this regard, according to Sakkaraev, it is necessary to take measures: either to build a waste processing plant or to find a site for a new landfill that complies with all environmental standards.
