At today's meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva called for the cancellation of fines for drivers of special vehicles operating in state hospitals.

According to information received from the chief doctors of several medical institutions, there is a problem with the influx of numerous fines for traffic violations from the State Traffic Safety Department (GUBDD) against ambulances and other special vehicles.

“Drivers of such vehicles often have to violate the rules because they are rushing to people in need of emergency assistance. There are no designated lanes for them. Although fines can sometimes be waived if the emergency lights are activated, these lights do not always work due to technical malfunctions, and this should also be taken into account,” noted Sadyrbaeva.

The deputy emphasized that chief doctors have to spend a long time reporting for each fine, and most often, they are forced to pay them from their personal funds. “It is necessary to help solve this problem,” she added.
