He noted that road congestion creates inconveniences for both local residents and tourists visiting the city.
“The most significant traffic jams are observed on the central streets. If someone is heading to the airport or to a doctor, the journey can take from three to four hours. Recently, the city mayor, Janar Akayev, personally visited these areas and confirmed the situation. Construction of a bridge had begun in Osh, but due to a lack of funding, the work has been suspended, which also exacerbates the traffic jam problem. A comprehensive approach is needed to address these issues,” added Omurzakov.
