More than 110 Russians evacuated from Iran through the border with Azerbaijan

Since the start of the military campaign by the USA and Israel against Iran, 114 Russians have managed to leave the territory of the Islamic Republic by taking advantage of the Azerbaijani border. According to the APA agency, a total of 553 people have been evacuated to Azerbaijan since February 28. Among them are not only Russians but also 152 citizens of Azerbaijan, 127 Chinese, 65 Pakistanis, and 42 Tajiks.

The process of returning Russians to their homeland has intensified: on March 2, a government plane transported the first batch of 32 Russian citizens from Baku to Moscow. On the same day, Maria Lvova-Belova, the Commissioner for Children's Rights, reported that her agency had begun receiving requests from families whose relatives found themselves in the conflict zone and needed support.

The situation at the borders remains complicated, so Russian citizens are advised to consider alternative routes for leaving Iran, particularly through Turkmenistan. Diplomatic authorities continue to organize evacuations, utilizing all available transport routes to bring people out of the dangerous region.
