At the meeting of the committee on labor, social issues, health care, and women's affairs of the Jogorku Kenesh, parliamentarians called on the Ministry of Labor to review the current criteria for benefit allocation. This statement was made during the discussion of a draft law concerning changes in labor and social security legislation.

Deputies noted that they receive numerous complaints from citizens indicating the confusion and complexity of the benefit application process.

“Many do not understand the criteria for selection. This raises many questions. If people were provided with clear information about who can qualify for benefits, the number of complaints would significantly decrease,” stated MP Sovetbek Rustambek uulu.

Rustambek uulu's colleagues added that the most vulnerable groups of the population often remain without benefits due to a number of subjective factors that need to be addressed.

Deputy Head of the Ministry of Labor Kamchybek Dosmatov noted that benefit allocation is currently based on a cabinet resolution adopted in 2018. “I want to emphasize that we are working together with government agencies to review the criteria for benefit assignment. However, it is important to maintain the targeting of these payments to ensure fairness,” he added.
