The committee rejected the initiative regarding the regulation of the use of LED screens on buildings in the capital.

Deputy Dastan Bekeshev proposed amendments to the law "On Advertising" that would allow homeowners' associations to install LED screens on the facades of their buildings. He emphasized that such an opportunity previously existed for placing advertising banners, but it was later revoked.

“The ban on placing advertising elements is only in Bishkek, while in other regions of the country, the use of LED screens is permitted. Despite the absence of a ban in the law, restrictions have been introduced through subordinate legislation,” Bekeshev added.

Some deputies expressed concerns about the unregulated installation of LED screens on buildings and other objects.

During the committee meeting, it was also noted that the government considers the adoption of this bill premature.

As a result of the vote, the project was rejected by a majority of votes.

Earlier, Dastan Bekeshev reported on his Telegram channel that a peculiar advertising economy has formed in Bishkek, where only two players actually operate, who, according to rumors, have connections with each other.
