Attack on Iran. The US has three candidates for the role of the new head of the country - Trump
Recently, US President Donald Trump stated in an interview with the New York Times that he has three candidates for the position of the new leader of Iran. He emphasized that military actions against this country will continue over the next four to five weeks.
“It won’t be particularly difficult. We have a vast stockpile of ammunition positioned around the world,” Trump noted.

Additionally, he added that he has “three worthy options” for the role of the new leader of Iran, but he refused to disclose their names. “I’m not going to talk about them right now. Let’s finish our work first,” the president said.

In response to a question about how Washington views a possible change of power in Iran, Trump mentioned that Iranian military personnel, including officers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, could hand over their weapons to the people of the country.

He also proposed a scenario similar to what occurred in Venezuela. “I believe that would be the ideal option,” he added.

Trump stated that he is ready to lift sanctions on Iran if the new leadership proves to be a pragmatic partner, but when asked about protecting the Iranian people, he evaded the question, saying: “I’m not making any commitments one way or the other; it’s too early. We have work to do, and we are doing it successfully. I would say we are significantly ahead of schedule.”
The military attack by Israel and the US on Iran began on February 28 with massive air and missile strikes on cities and military facilities. In response, Tehran attacked Israeli and American bases in several countries in the Middle East. Shortly after the initial strikes, Donald Trump confirmed the start of a military operation called “Lion’s Roar” in his address to the nation.

The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed, along with several high-ranking officials from Tehran.

The escalation of the conflict in the Middle East continues, with missile strikes coming from both sides. Tens of thousands of people have been trapped due to the closed airspace over the conflict zone.
