The state-owned "Keremet Bank" has notified its clients about the closure of the mobile application for individuals, which will begin on March 1, 2026. This information was confirmed by bank representatives in an interview with Kaktus.media.

To ensure continuous access to essential banking services, clients are offered to use the "Elkart Mobile" application, which is part of the national payment card settlement system "Elkart." To use it, one must install the application and complete the registration.

Moreover, transitioning to "Elkart Mobile" does not require closing current accounts or reissuing cards. This application fully supports all essential functions: balance viewing, transaction history, the ability to make payments and transfers, as well as payment for goods and services," the bank added.

The reason for this decision is the transition to a new application, which is currently under development.

In light of recent events, it is worth noting that the countries of the European Union have recently approved the 19th package of sanctions against Russia, which affects Russian banks, cryptocurrency exchanges, and their structures in India, China, and other countries. This list also includes 22 individuals and 45 organizations from Russia, Hong Kong, China, India, Thailand, and Kyrgyzstan. In particular, the "Tolubai Bank" and the "Eurasian Savings Bank" have been sanctioned. Previously, U.S. and British authorities also imposed sanctions on "Keremet" and "Kapital." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan stated that the republic strictly adheres to international obligations and maintains an open dialogue with partners from the European Union aimed at preventing circumvention of sanctions. Additionally, it was proposed to create a working group to address emerging issues.
