Sadyr Japarov: Over 300 members of organized crime groups brought to justice

During a national meeting, Sadyr Japarov, the President of Kyrgyzstan, discussed the results of the fight against crime. He reported that more than 300 members of organized crime groups have been brought to justice, and the state budget has been replenished by over 38 billion soms as compensation for damages.

“We have not only destroyed criminal organizations but also dismantled the systems that supported their influence for many years. Restoring the rule of law has become a priority for our state,” he noted.

In his report, the president emphasized the modernization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to him, thanks to the implementation of digital technologies and the expansion of the round-the-clock surveillance system across regions, the crime situation in the country has significantly improved.

“Statistical data indicate a 73% reduction in the overall crime rate, and in areas covered by surveillance, the number of serious crimes has decreased by 68%. All these measures are aimed at improving safety on the streets and ensuring the peace of citizens,” he added.
