The issue of sanctions also became a topic of the bilateral meeting between Kulubaev and UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper. The head of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that, despite the positive dynamics in Kyrgyz-British relations and the successful implementation of joint investment and financial projects, unilateral sanctions could negatively impact the development of trade and financial ties. The Kyrgyz side expressed its concerns regarding the UK's sanctioning policy and called for a more constructive and balanced approach, reaffirming its readiness for open and equal dialogue.
