
In an open discussion format, participants exchanged opinions and discussed current challenges, as well as opportunities for further cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
Rector of KRSU Sergey Volkov reported that the university received official confirmation for the allocation of land for a new campus. He also presented a model of the future building and spoke about recent infrastructural changes at the university.
“This is a long-awaited decision, the result of our systematic work and support from partners. We are confident in the successful implementation of this project,” Volkov noted.
Speaking to the students, Mikhail Shvydkoy emphasized the importance of personal meetings in the age of digital technologies.
“Although technologies and digital platforms play a huge role, human contacts remain extremely significant. In fact, their importance is only increasing,” he stressed.
Shvydkoy also stated that a strategic approach to the future is necessary for the development of universities.
“If people think about the future, it comes true. If they do not think about it, it does not happen. What I see at your university indicates an understanding of prospects and responsibility for tomorrow,” he added.
At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further development of humanitarian and educational cooperation. Students had the opportunity to ask questions about their professional paths and participation in international projects.
