Meder Aliyev took the position of First Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh
At a recent meeting, a decision was made to appoint Meder Aliyev as the First Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh. This decision was the result of a secret ballot.

The nomination of Aliyev was initiated by the parliamentary group "El Umutu Ata-Jurt".

It is worth noting that his predecessor, Chyngyz Ajibaev, left the position of his own accord.

Meder Aliyev, born on October 29, 1986, holds a higher education degree.

From 2007 to 2009, he worked as a volunteer teacher at the legal clinic of the Kyrgyz State Law University and also taught law in a school and a madrasa.

From 2010 to 2011, Aliyev was an assistant lawyer in the Bar Association of Bishkek and the Chui region.

Then, in 2011-2012, he served as an assistant to a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh.

From 2014 to 2016, he worked as the head of the investor support department at the Investment Promotion Agency.

In 2016-2017, he continued his career at the State Agency for Investment Promotion, where he also held the position of department head.

From 2019 to 2020, he managed the City Development Agency under the Bishkek City Hall.

In 2020, he became the director of the Department of Economy and Investments at the Bishkek City Hall.

From 2018 to 2020, he worked part-time as a law lecturer at the International University "Atatürk Ala-Too".

In 2021, he was elected as a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the VII convocation from the political party "Isheniim".

From January 13 to December 1, 2022, he headed the committee on constitutional legislation, state structure, judicial and legal issues, and the regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh.

In December 2025, he was re-elected as a deputy of the parliament of the VIII convocation.
