“For example, it can be used to sew clothing and bags. Currently, our sewing workshops are forced to purchase materials from abroad, even though we have the opportunity to use domestic raw materials. The Ministry of Water Management and Agriculture should intensify its actions in this direction,” Bekeshev added.
The First Deputy Minister of Water Management and Agriculture, Zhanibek Kerimaliev, noted that for the full implementation of cannabis in industry, changes in legislation are necessary.
“We have not yet reached this stage, but undoubtedly, this is a promising direction. If the Academy of Sciences provides a positive conclusion, research can begin. I agree that cannabis can be used to produce uniforms and underwear for the armed forces, as the resulting fabric is lightweight and has good breathability,” he emphasized.
