Kyrgyzstan and the British Royal Family discussed education, climate, and the Games of Nomads

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, met on February 25, 2026, in London with representatives of the British Royal Family and heads of foreign policy agencies from Central Asia.

During the meeting with Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, Kulubaev reaffirmed the Kyrgyz Republic's commitment to expanding cooperation with the United Kingdom in the areas of politics, economy, and investment.

The Minister emphasized the importance of cultural and humanitarian interaction, focusing on cooperation in education, English language studies, as well as climate and tourism issues. He also discussed the upcoming sixth World Nomad Games, noting that this is a unique initiative aimed at preserving cultural diversity as a key element of peaceful coexistence among the peoples of the world. Kulubaev added that these games contribute to the preservation of the heritage of nomadic civilizations and strengthen dialogue between cultures.

Students from Central Asia studying in the UK on scholarship programs, as well as representatives of leading educational institutions in the country, were also present at the meeting.

After the discussions, a ceremonial event took place featuring the Royal Horse Guards and an honor guard.
