Deputy: Fake passports and driver's licenses from Kyrgyzstan are being sold in Russia
According to Akhmedova, fake documents are purchased by foreigners who, when involved in traffic accidents or violating laws, cause confusion as they are mistaken for citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
“In reality, they are not Kyrgyz citizens, but such situations arise,” she emphasized.
Deputy Attorney General Umutkan Konkubaeva noted that this fraud occurs outside the country, and in such cases, responsibility falls under the laws of the country where the criminal act was committed.
Akhmedova added that counterfeit passports and licenses may be produced on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, which requires the intervention of the General Prosecutor's Office.
“I have specific data and facts. A thorough investigation is necessary,” she urged.
Konkubaeva, for her part, assured that a check of the situation would be initiated. “However, according to data from ‘Unaa’, at the moment, the forgery of Kyrgyz passports and driver's licenses is virtually impossible,” she added.
