On February 25, 2026, a meeting took place in London at the Palace of Westminster, attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev. He discussed issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation with the Speaker of the House of Commons of the United Kingdom, Lindsay Harvey Hoyle, and members of the parliamentary group on Central Asia, led by Pamela Margaret Cox. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the discussion, the participants exchanged views on ways to further strengthen ties between the parliaments of Central Asian countries and the United Kingdom.

Kulubaev also shared information about the recent elections to the Jogorku Kenesh, emphasizing that they meet both national and international standards, including democratic principles, transparency, and competitiveness. He noted that the parliament plays a key role in the socio-political and socio-economic life of the country, actively participating in the legislative support of reforms and accelerating economic progress.

The Minister expressed confidence that deepening contacts between parliaments could complement intergovernmental relations. He emphasized the importance of activating Kyrgyz-British parliamentary exchanges, including delegation visits, cooperation of relevant committees, and sharing practical experiences. Considering the rich history of the British Parliament, Kulubaev highlighted the need for not only political dialogue but also practical cooperation aimed at exchanging successful practices, as well as possible internships on the rules and procedures of parliamentary work.
