Deputy Erlan Kokulov of the Jogorku Kenesh has become acquainted with this issue and expressed dissatisfaction with the state of the pharmacy and the actions of local authorities. He noted that the conditions for storing medications are unacceptable, the necessary temperature regime is absent, and many drugs are in poor condition.
Kokulov also pointed out the lack of proper oversight from the district administration and medical institutions.
“This is a state pharmacy, and it is essential to strictly adhere to the rules for storing medications, rather than just piling drugs in one place. People come for help, but instead, they may face a threat to their health,” the deputy emphasized.
As a result of the inspection, he demanded that the district akim, his deputies, and the chief physician immediately rectify all identified violations, ensure that the premises meet the standards, and bring order to the pharmacy network.
In the opinion of the parliamentarian, such institutions must operate in accordance with established standards; otherwise, the risk to public health increases.
Local authorities promised to begin the process of addressing the violations and consider relocating the pharmacy to a more suitable building.
