At a parliamentary meeting, Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Burul Amanova raised the issue of the increasing number of criminal cases against young Kyrgyz citizens in Russia related to drug trafficking.
She noted that many young people may find themselves in difficult situations because they are misled, and often they are even unaware of the contents of their packages.
Amanova characterized this situation as alarming, adding that citizens are becoming defendants in serious crimes due to ignorance. As an example, she cited the case of a girl born in 2001 from the Kadamjai district, who is currently in a Russian prison for drug trafficking. The deputy urged the relevant authorities to consider the issue of her transfer to Kyrgyzstan to serve her sentence at home.
It is worth noting that the deputy's conclusions about the increase in such cases are based solely on one specific example, without providing official data on the number of convicted citizens of Kyrgyzstan in Russia.
