President Sadyr Japarov met with the special representative of the leader of Russia, Mikhail Shvydkoy

Japarov emphasized the importance of cultural interaction as a vital element for strengthening dialogue between the states. He expressed confidence in the successful holding of the Days of Russian Culture in Kyrgyzstan in 2025 and noted that the opening of the Kyrgyz House of Science and Culture in Moscow would be an important step for the development of humanitarian ties.
The President invited the Russian delegation to participate in the VI World Nomad Games, which will take place in Kyrgyzstan in 2026.
Additionally, Japarov highlighted the need for the digitalization of the cultural space and recalled the legacy of Chinghiz Aitmatov, who became a symbol of unity between the peoples of the two countries.
Mikhail Shvydkoy conveyed greetings from the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, noting that he considers Kyrgyzstan his second homeland and is keenly observing the development of the country, which demonstrates stable economic growth due to long-term planning.
Preparatory activities for 2028 were also discussed, when the centenary of Chinghiz Aitmatov and the bicentennial of Leo Tolstoy will be celebrated.
Shvydkoy proposed to create a joint organizational committee at the level of deputy prime ministers to coordinate events commemorating these significant years.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their interest in further developing cultural cooperation and expanding bilateral projects.
