Gulya Kozhokulova called the work of the large staff of the Bishkek city hall useless

At a parliamentary meeting, deputy Gulya Kozhokulova expressed dissatisfaction with the current approaches of the Bishkek city hall and suggested improving city management. She noted that despite having a large team led by Mayor Aibek Junushaliev and four akims, important issues remain unresolved in the capital, causing discontent among residents.

Kozhokulova emphasized the numerous complaints regarding public transportation. Citizens report poor conditions of buses, schedule violations, and dangerous behavior on the road, which jeopardizes passenger safety.

The deputy also raised the issue of the rational use of municipal property and chaotic construction. As an example, she pointed to recent disputes related to construction near the Central Department Store (Tsum), noting that the lack of awareness among city authorities about what is happening in the center raises questions about the control system.

Additionally, she highlighted the importance of preserving Bishkek's cultural and architectural heritage, as well as the poor condition of roads in neighborhoods, where broken asphalt poses a danger to residents.

Kozhokulova stressed that one of the main problems remains the lack of communication between municipal authorities and the population: residents are unable to voice their complaints, and local authorities do not show initiative for meetings.
