Mamataliyev noted that the Kyrgyz Republic attaches great importance to strengthening strategic partnership with Russia. "Our political dialogue and interaction are at a high level. We must continue to develop ties based on friendship and trust, including the active development of inter-parliamentary cooperation," he added.
In addition, the speaker announced his intention to visit Russia on an official visit in the near future. He emphasized that this event would be significant for both inter-parliamentary dialogue and strengthening bilateral relations.
“I am confident that the upcoming meetings and negotiations will be productive and will give new impetus to our cooperation,” he noted.
During the meeting, Mamataliyev also raised the issue of the conditions created for labor migrants from Kyrgyzstan and their families in Russia, proposing a number of measures to improve the situation. An important point was the discussion of the legalization of vehicles with Russian license plates located in Kyrgyzstan.
“We can solve any problems. As partners, we must openly discuss the issues that arise and find ways to resolve them,” the speaker emphasized.
Sergey Vakunov, for his part, congratulated Mamataliyev on his election as Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh and wished him success in his new role. He expressed readiness to assist in organizing the upcoming visit of the speaker to Russia and noted the significance of the proposals being discussed.
The parties agreed to activate inter-parliamentary cooperation both at international forums and at the level of relevant committees.
