According to information from "Insider," the Verkhovna Rada is considering the possibility of holding presidential elections in the fall of 2026, and parliamentary elections in the spring of 2027. Both events may take place against the backdrop of martial law, which will not be lifted.

According to sources, some leaders of parliamentary parties have already informed their regional party organizations about the proposed election timelines. There is also a discussion of an option where elections would be organized under conditions of an ongoing conflict.

Against this backdrop, changes in personnel and political structures are being observed in the Verkhovna Rada. Some current deputies are working on creating their own political initiatives that respond to the needs of the new electoral cycle and a possible demand for "military" or "post-war" leadership.

Earlier, the Financial Times, citing information from Ukrainian and European officials, reported that on February 24, Volodymyr Zelensky may announce plans to hold presidential elections in Ukraine and a referendum on a peace agreement.
