At the inaugural meeting of the Council of Peace in Washington, Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced the country's readiness to provide humanitarian aid to ensure food security in Gaza and its surroundings.
He emphasized that the Council of Peace should correspond to modern realities and strengthen multilateral initiatives. The head of state expressed Kazakhstan's desire to participate in the restoration and stabilization of the situation in Gaza.
Tokayev noted that the republic is interested in collaborating with reputable and highly qualified international companies to implement recovery programs. This may include the construction of housing, schools, hospitals, and other key social facilities.
"Kazakhstan, being one of the leading global producers of wheat, is ready to provide humanitarian aid to ensure food security in Gaza and beyond. In addition, we plan to allocate over 500 educational grants for Palestinian students to study at Kazakhstani universities over the next five years," he stated.
The President also pointed to the possibility of exchanging internationally recognized experience in e-government and other digital solutions.
Furthermore, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared Kazakhstan's readiness to support International Stabilization Forces by sending medical units with a field hospital, as well as observers to the Civil-Military Coordination Center.
