The first meeting of the Council of Peace, initiated by the United States with the aim of restoring the Gaza Strip, took place in Washington.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, speaking at the meeting, emphasized that the "Plan B" for Gaza is a return to war, which no one desires. He added that the only correct approach is to restore the region with the aim of achieving sustainable peace, where everyone can coexist without fear of conflict and destruction.

As part of the formation of international stabilization forces (ISF), Albania, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, and Morocco are ready to provide their contingents, which will be distributed across five sectors, each assigned one brigade.

Turkey also expressed its readiness to send its troops as part of the ISF and offered assistance in healthcare and law enforcement training.

Donald Trump stated that he believes a military operation to disarm Hamas will not be necessary, as the movement has already committed to renouncing weapons.

Qatar, for its part, promised to allocate $1 billion to support the efforts of the Council of Peace.
Some countries, such as Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, have already contributed over $7 billion to the overall aid package for the restoration of the Gaza Strip.
Kazakhstan also intends to invest significant funds and actively participate in restoring infrastructure, building residential complexes, schools, hospitals, and other important facilities, including debris clearance.

Uzbekistan expressed a desire to participate in the construction of residential buildings, kindergartens, schools, and hospitals.

Bahrain offered its assistance in creating infrastructure and providing specialists for the development of digital government services for the Gaza Strip.

Trump noted that all countries participating in the Council of Peace, including China and Russia, will ultimately agree on joint actions. He emphasized that Washington will work closely with the UN for maximum effectiveness under the control of the Council of Peace.

During the meeting, the U.S. president also made several remarks unrelated to the agenda, in particular, sharing information about his good relations with Vladimir Putin and noting that not everyone in Europe appreciates his support for Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. He also mentioned "good negotiations" with Iran and noted that within 10 days it may become clear whether an agreement on the nuclear program can be reached.

France, for its part, stated that it does not consider it appropriate to participate in the activities of the Council of Peace and will demand clarifications from the European Commission regarding the fact that its representative was sent without a mandate from the EU Council.
