Zhanar Akayev: Osh is not foreign to me. I must justify the trust.
He emphasized that every leader has a unique approach to management, and his activities should be evaluated based on specific results.

“Don’t rush to conclusions. If you suddenly see me in the morning not at my workplace, then you can say that I did not keep my promise. We will work,” he added.
Speaking about the difficult decision to leave his mandate as a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, despite being successfully elected, Akayev admitted that it was not an easy decision.
“I thought seriously about this. I received significant support in the Alay and Kara-Suu districts, which is an expression of the people's trust. Many of those who elected me understand and support my appointment, placing great hopes on me,” the mayor reported.
He also emphasized that he intends to continue working at the same pace set by his predecessor, Jenishbek Toktorbaev.
“You know what Toktorbaev's work pace was. It will not be easy to replace him. All projects that were started must be completed. We will check their legality and continue their implementation,” noted Akayev.
Among the most pressing issues in the city, he highlighted traffic jams, unregulated construction, the state of infrastructure, sanitary safety issues, and the municipality's debts.
“I understand that there are many problems. Osh is a city I am familiar with. I have often been here and know which issues require attention. This is a huge responsibility for me,” added the new mayor.
According to him, the mayor's office will actively cooperate with residents and take their opinions into account when making decisions.
