Deputy: With a salary of 12,000 to 22,000 soms, theater artists won't be able to afford a mortgage
She spoke about her visit to the Kyrgyz National Academic Drama Theater, where she was able to see the conditions in which the artists live. According to the deputy, even those with high state awards face problems without having their own housing.
Mavlyanova noted that the income level of actors does not even allow them to apply for state mortgages.
“Artists such as Zhenish Smanov, Gulnara Satarova, Askar Kachkynbaev, Bakhtiyar Sharshenbaev, and Kanbolot Atakan uulu still do not have their own housing. Interestingly, their salaries are simply insufficient to qualify for a mortgage. Actors with 25 years of experience earn between 12,000 and 22,000 soms. How are they supposed to live on?” the deputy expressed her dissatisfaction.
She also emphasized that government structures should not only help solve the housing problems of artists and technical workers in theaters but also significantly increase their salaries. Mavlyanova urged her colleagues and the government to pay attention to this important issue.
