At the opening of the gondola lift in the Ala-Archa National Park, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, delivered a speech.

In his address, he emphasized that the creation of modern tourist infrastructure is a key direction of state policy.

“Our task is to fully unlock the tourist potential of our country and enhance its international recognition in the field of mountain tourism,” Japarov added.

According to the president, the infrastructure in Ala-Archa has been completely updated in recent years, creating modern and comfortable conditions for tourists. The new gondola lift, which is 1 kilometer long, has the capacity to transport up to a thousand people per hour, opening new horizons for both local residents and tourists from abroad.

The gondola lift was built by the renowned Austrian company Doppelmayr, which is also involved in the construction of lifts for the large ski complex "Ala-Too Resort" in the Issyk-Kul region.

The president reported that as part of the second phase of the project, there are plans to extend the route to 12 kilometers, which will allow coverage of more remote and picturesque areas of the national park.

In addition to the gondola lift, modern cottages and a toboggan run are being built in Ala-Archa, and there are plans to construct a five-star hotel with a swimming pool.

The head of state also provided statistics on the growth of the park's revenues: from 29 million soms in 2020, they exceeded 262 million soms in 2025, indicating an almost ninefold increase. This has been made possible through digitalization and the implementation of a transparent management system.

Sadyr Japarov noted that the state is open to investments and will continue to create favorable conditions for business. He reminded about the introduction of a moratorium on unjustified inspections of entrepreneurs and urged law enforcement agencies not to exert pressure on businesses.

The president is confident that the implementation of tourism projects will lead to an increase in tourist flow, the creation of new jobs, and a significant contribution to economic growth.

“Let’s prove to the whole world that Kyrgyzstan is a country of majestic mountains, where snow leopards live, and where there are the best opportunities for recreation,” the head of state concluded.
