Changed his mind: the deputy thanked the president for the decision on rights
As the parliamentarian noted, the initiative proposed by the President's Chief of Staff Kanbek Tumanbaev, which required drivers to undergo training for 10 months, was actively discussed in society. This idea received a negative reaction from citizens.
As a result, a new option was proposed: the training period was reduced to four months, after which candidates can take the exam. Those who pass it successfully receive temporary driver's licenses valid for one year.
Kunduzbek Sulaymanov emphasized that the changes were positively received by drivers.
“I want to express my gratitude to our president. The issue of driver training and the duration of education has become a topic of discussion. Now all drivers are happy that the training period has been reduced to four months. After that, they can take the exam. A one-year probation period is the right approach, as during this time a person can demonstrate their driving skills and then obtain a full license,” the deputy noted.
It should be reminded that at the meeting on February 4, Deputy Kunduzbek Sulaymanov spoke out against the reform requiring 10 months of training to obtain a driver's license.
The parliamentarian clarified that his opinion on the long training period reflects the position of his constituents, not personal views.
“Every deputy conveys the opinion of the people, not their own judgments. We must represent the interests of citizens before the executive power. It is unreasonable to exacerbate public discontent. Proposals for such changes lead in the wrong direction. If the people did not support the right initiatives, we would have said so too,” the deputy added.
