The multivector policy contributes to strengthening Bishkek's potential
On February 17, a presentation of the research titled “Communication Regimes of Post-Soviet Countries: Friendliness Ranking Towards Russia - 2025” took place in the presidential hall of MIA “Russia Today.”
In this ranking, Kyrgyzstan received 70.7 points, which political scientists consider a positive result. This reflects the multivector approach that Bishkek employs in its foreign policy.
The country actively interacts not only with Russia but also with Turkey (in the areas of economy, humanitarian issues, and education), the European Union (in the fields of economy, infrastructure, and humanitarian projects), as well as with the USA and China.
However, Russia remains the only state with which Kyrgyzstan develops cooperation in all areas, including security, economy, education, migration, and humanitarian ties. Unlike other countries that are present only in specific areas, Russia encompasses a wide range of interactions. Kyrgyzstan, in turn, exercises caution and does not take steps that could threaten Russia's interests, remaining reserved in discussing sensitive topics.
This is confirmed by active cooperation on international platforms such as the EAEU, CSTO, CIS, and SCO, as well as bilateral meetings of leaders and humanitarian exchanges. Both sides strive for an equal dialogue.
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are opening their markets to companies from the USA and Europe, making Central Asia more attractive and leading to an increased interest from these countries in the economy and politics of Kyrgyzstan.
Moreover, there is potential for the revival of joint scientific bases with Russia, as well as strengthening cooperation with China and EU programs. This could serve as a foundation for further development in areas such as industry, nuclear energy, and military-technical cooperation.
