At today's parliamentary session, Deputy Ulukbek Karybek uulu raised the issue of the safety of water bodies in the "Muras-Ordo" area of Bishkek, where eight children have already drowned. He called for urgent measures to prevent further tragedies.

According to the parliamentarian, there are 18 artificial water bodies in the vicinity of "Muras-Ordo," which pose a significant threat to local residents.

"Eight children have drowned in these water bodies. How many more lives must end in tragedy for this to become a real lesson? It is necessary for law enforcement, the mayor's office, and the local administration to take action. Perhaps the situation will change if the mayor or the akim is relocated to 'Muras-Ordo'?" the deputy questioned.

Moreover, the water bodies cause significant damage to the infrastructure of the residential area. The constant moisture destroys building foundations and creates ecological risks.

In conclusion, the deputy demanded that government representatives instruct the mayor of Bishkek to eliminate hazardous facilities and ensure the safety of residents.
