In Kyrgyzstan, there is a sharp increase in the number of children suffering from autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and speech delays. This statement was made by Deputy Kamila Talieva during a parliamentary session, noting that this issue affects not only individual parents but the entire country as a whole.

According to the parliamentarian, one of the main threats is the delayed detection of these conditions. Often, the diagnosis is made too late, depriving children of the opportunity to receive the necessary corrective assistance at an early age when it is most effective.

“Experts point to a lack of preventive measures and early diagnosis. There is a particularly acute shortage of professionals such as speech therapists, defectologists, and psychologists in the regions. To address this issue, scientific research and a systematic approach are necessary. We must provide financial and legislative support for this area,” emphasized Kamila Talieva.

The deputy also noted that ignoring this problem could seriously threaten the implementation of the national program "Healthy Nation." She urged the government to pay special attention to this issue.
