Shairbek Tashiev: Only 24 thousand voters can revoke my mandate
He noted that he does not intend to voluntarily relinquish his powers under pressure from public opinion or political statements.
According to Tashiev, he was elected by the people and is accountable solely to his voters. "I have 24,300 voters. Only they have the right to tell me: 'Resign your mandate.' If they sign and declare a lack of confidence, I am ready to consider this issue. But I do not intend to leave at someone else's request," the deputy emphasized.
Tashiev added that his goal in parliament is to work in the interests of his voters and protect their rights.
"I came to serve my people. They are the only ones who can evaluate my work," he noted.
Regarding the resignation of former speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, Tashiev admitted that this decision was unexpected for him. He tried to contact Turgunbek uulu to find out the reasons for his departure.
"I called him, wanted to clarify why he made such a decision, as the deputies elected him. But he did not answer," Tashiev said.
Nevertheless, the parliamentarian expressed calm about what happened and hopes that the new speaker will cope with the tasks assigned.
"These are experienced people. I am confident that the parliament will continue to work as usual," he concluded.
