The first "Republic of Korea - Central Asia" summit will take place in the fall.
Leaders from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan will participate in the summit, as reported by Yonhap.
The minister emphasized that this event will be a significant step towards expanding South Korea's diplomatic relations with Central Asia. He noted that the summit format will open opportunities for deepening bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as for developing strategies in areas such as supply diversification and support for Korean communities living in the region.
It is worth noting that Central Asian countries actively participate in various international summits, such as "USA - Central Asia," "European Union - Central Asia," and "Japan - Central Asia."
