Who congratulated the new speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh on their election
In her address, Valentina Matviyenko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, expressed her best wishes, noting the high regard for Mamataliyev's professional qualities among the deputies.
“Your support from the deputies indicates that your organizational skills and professionalism are highly valued,” Matviyenko stated.
She also noted that Russian senators are interested in further developing cooperation with the Jogorku Kenesh, including within the framework of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS.
Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, also extended his congratulations. He emphasized that being elected to such an important position is a sign of trust from both the people and the parliamentary corps of Kyrgyzstan.
“I am confident that your experience and professional skills will make a significant contribution to the development of the country,” Ashimbayev added, highlighting the importance of interparliamentary dialogue for strengthening bilateral relations.
Tanzila Narbaeva, Chairwoman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, also joined in the congratulations, expressing confidence that Mamataliyev's abilities will contribute to deepening parliamentary cooperation and connections between the peoples of the two countries.
Additionally, Erlan Koshanov, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, sent a telegram with best wishes. He emphasized that the friendly relations and strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will continue to develop, and parliamentary ties will be strengthened, including through the interparliamentary council.
It is worth noting that Marlen Mamataliyev was elected as the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 12. His candidacy was supported by 77 deputies, five voted against, one ballot was declared invalid, and four others were spoiled.
It should be noted that Mamataliyev was the only candidate for this position.
