After the announcement of Tashiev's press conference, many questions arose in society: does he intend to continue supporting the president, will he participate in the upcoming elections, did a letter from 75 elders really exist, and what are his personal views on the current situation?
In light of these questions, Kaktus.media gathered opinions from well-known social media users.
Aybek Biibosunov, a journalist and author of a documentary about President Japarov, suggests that Tashiev will head the president's election headquarters. He noted that he was unable to ask the general questions at the airport, adding that this could have confirmed their friendship and the rule of law. Kanat Khasanov, a lawyer, emphasized that society has two main questions: will Tashiev support the president as a friend and ally, and will he keep his promise not to participate in the elections?
"Now we will see how serious he is about his words of loyalty and renouncing personal ambitions," noted Khasanov.Ali Toktakunov, a journalist, raises questions about Tashiev's future and his possible candidacy for the presidency. He also noted that the parties should remember the lessons of their predecessors, such as Almazbek Atambayev and Sooronbay Jeenbekov, and seek compromises. Tologon Sulaimanov, also a journalist, expressed the opinion that the general should demonstrate the rule of law at his press conference. Atai Beishenbek, an activist, posted a photo with several politicians, including Azimbek Beknazarov and Mambetzhunus Abylov, noting that Tashiev's return dispelled rumors about his intention to stay in Germany. The editorial team of Kaktus.media is interested in how Tashiev assesses the new appointments in the GKNB, the change of the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, and whether he truly benefited from early elections. It is also important to find out whether he considers what happened a betrayal and regrets the repressive measures against journalists, activists, and entrepreneurs. How would he comment on the rumors of a possible swap with the president in the next elections?
We remind you that on February 10, 2025, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, signed a decree according to which Kamchybek Tashiev was relieved of his duties as Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the GKNB.
Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov has been appointed as the acting chairman of the GKNB. Three deputy chairmen of the GKNB were also dismissed.
