In an interview, Japarov noted that his election as president was the result of the trust of voters who supported him in 2021. He emphasized that according to the Constitution, the president must guarantee the unity of the state and the people.

According to him, the interests of the people and the state must always be above personal connections and career. "The situation began to develop in the Jogorku Kenesh, where some groups of deputies started to divide their colleagues, posing the question of who is with them and who is against," he explained. This division soon affected the aksakals, who began gathering signatures for early elections and misleading the public by claiming that their actions were coordinated with the highest authorities.

The president stated that he acted quickly to prevent further destabilization. "I called a friend, explained the situation to him, and warned him about my decision to resign. This possibly saved his life, as the aksakals were trying to lead him astray," Japarov added.

Japarov emphasized that under the cover of Tashiev, these groups tried to persuade deputies and civil servants to switch to their side, which could have led to conflicts within the state structure and society. "Stability in the state is paramount," he noted.

The president also pointed out that personnel appointments are made without any divisions between "Tashiev's team" and "Japarov's team," and each appointment undergoes thorough scrutiny.

Responding to rumors about a possible agreement that he and Tashiev would take turns as president, Japarov stated that the decision about the head of state is made not by a limited circle of people, but by the entire nation. "In a democratic state like Kyrgyzstan, every citizen has the right to vote in elections. Such statements that someone will be president in turns contradict the fundamental principles of democracy," he added.

Furthermore, Japarov requested the Constitutional Court to provide a clear legal definition on this matter to avoid further misunderstandings.

He also stated that law enforcement agencies would assess the scale of the campaign involving 75 people to determine the actual number of participants. "There may be more of them than currently reported, but I will wait for the investigation results for a final answer," the president concluded.
