“I have always tasked Kamchybek Tashiev and the heads of ministries with proposing professional personnel who work for the benefit of the state. I continue to adhere to this approach, and all proposals are formed in accordance with these criteria. Therefore, it is inappropriate to speak of any division into the ‘Japarov team’ or the ‘Tashiev team,’” the president added.
Journalists reminded Sadyr Japarov of the rumors that had arisen in society, suggesting that there was an agreement between him and Kamchybek Tashiev regarding the terms of governance before the elections: “One term for him, another term for his close friend.”
The president emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is a democratic country.
“The decision on who will govern the country is made not by a narrow group of individuals, but by the people. Every citizen has the right to participate in elections, and the president is the one whom the people trust and who has a high rating among the population.
Therefore, discussions in the spirit of ‘one term for him, another term for this one’ do not align with the principles of democracy and undermine political culture. Such opinions are perceived as attempts to deprive citizens of their right to choose,” he concluded.
