On February 11, a bilateral meeting took place in Berlin between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and his German counterpart Johann Wadeful. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

During the negotiations, issues of cooperation in areas such as politics, economy, investment, and culture were discussed.

Kulubaev also reported on the results of the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh, emphasizing that they were held in accordance with national and international standards.

The minister called for joint efforts to increase interaction with German companies in sectors such as hydropower, agriculture, transport and logistics, as well as in the field of tourist infrastructure.

"The parties expressed interest in intensifying cooperation in key areas such as the 'green' economy, e-commerce, new technologies, mobility, and education," the statement added.

Regarding the issue of sanctions, Kulubaev emphasized the lack of clear grounds for imposing restrictive measures and their potential negative consequences for the socio-economic development of Central Asia. He noted that Kyrgyzstan fulfills its international obligations and is open to dialogue with European institutions on an equal and mutually beneficial basis.

In addition, the ministers exchanged views on the international and regional agenda, discussing the interaction of their countries within international organizations, including the UN, OSCE, and EU, as stated in the message.
