At today's meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Bakyt Torobaev, who holds the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, urged dairy producers to focus on the quality of their products rather than the quantity.

According to Torobaev, farmers have access to two forms of preferential support. The first is a loan at a rate of 3% for the purchase of purebred cows. If farmers do not wish to take out a loan, they can receive purebred livestock seeds for free, which will allow them to raise cows that produce twice the amount of milk.

The minister also noted that changes have occurred in the pricing system since last year: while milk was previously purchased at a price of 35 soms per liter, now, depending on fat content, factories are willing to accept it at prices up to 51 soms. However, in the spring, when animals switch to pasture feed, the fat content of the milk decreases, which affects prices, and buyers cannot offer high rates.

It is worth noting that earlier, dairy producers demanded the establishment of a unified price that should not be lower than 40 soms.
