The Cabinet has submitted changes to the privatization law for discussion.
The proposed amendments introduce new rules for the alienation of movable property owned by the state, while excluding shares and stakes in economic entities. The Cabinet will now determine the procedure for such sales.
Additionally, the conditions regarding practical steps for the privatization and transformation of state enterprises have been clarified. In particular, Article 10 clearly states that only real estate that is not subject to sectoral restrictions can be privatized.
The procedure for approving the transfer act during the transformation of enterprises has also changed: the decision will be made by the authorized state body appointed by the Cabinet.
Furthermore, the procedure for information disclosure will be significantly updated. The new draft law requires that data on upcoming auctions be published in advance—at least 30 days prior, and for strategically important objects—90 days prior. The results of privatization must be posted on official portals no later than one month after the completion of the transaction.
