The summer period is not suitable due to scheduled events such as the SCO and the Nomad Games. Why not hold the elections in April or May? As for Kamchybek Tashiev, he has repeatedly stated that he does not intend to participate in the elections, and I believe he will keep his word.
Kubanychbek Samakov: Everything should happen in accordance with the law and the Constitution. Article 66 of the Constitution allows the president to be elected for two terms of five years; however, the current president was elected for six years under the old rules. His first term will be counted from the moment the new Constitution is introduced, which opens the possibility for his re-election for a second term of five years.

Marlen Mamataliyev: In the VII convocation, a law was adopted that clearly states that the presidential elections will take place on January 24, 2027. All experts familiar with the legal side of the issue agree that this is the right decision. It does not contradict the Constitution or other laws. However, if circumstances arise that affect the elections, it may be necessary to amend the legislation. This could be related to international events, such as the SCO. But if there are no obstacles for the current president, we will wait for the established date.
