The Minister of Transport harshly reprimanded the road workers: "You are bringing us shame! Where is the quality?"
According to the ministry's press service, he strongly demanded that the identified problems be addressed and reminded that contractors must ensure the declared quality of work, rather than citing adverse weather conditions as an excuse.
During the field meeting, Syrgabaev noted: "I have said from the very beginning: roads must be built with quality. If you are unable to perform the work properly, just say so. Some of you are putting us in an awkward position. Words must match actions."
He also added that winter precipitation cannot be an excuse for the destruction of new road surfaces: "You know what the soil is like in the Suzak region. If the section is problematic, it was necessary to foresee drainage and reinforcement in advance, rather than wait for the road to start deteriorating."
The minister demanded that contractors complete all corrective work on time and warned local leaders: "This should be the last warning. After the work is completed, the facility must remain in good condition, not deteriorate within a season."
The ministry confirmed that all identified defects will be rectified at the contractors' expense in accordance with warranty obligations. Quality checks on the problematic sections are ongoing.
