Kunduzbek Sulaymanov responded to Sadyr Japarov's words about populist deputies
Su laymanov emphasized that representatives of the people should represent the interests of citizens, and the authorities must take their opinions into account. "What if this opinion is also populist? Yes, I agree that 10 months is too long. This is the opinion of the citizens, and I agree with it. The president himself studied for six months at DOSAAF, and many who studied during the Soviet era and did not get into accidents also believe that 10 months is excessive. Young people today, especially smart ones, can master the theory in a month," he noted.
In addition, the deputy reported that one of the directors of driving schools proposed to reduce the training period to six months, with the possibility of taking the exam after three months. If the exam is not passed, the student will need to continue their training.
Su laymanov added: "We understand that there are people in every family who have suffered in traffic accidents. But hundreds and thousands of citizens express their opinions about the training periods. I did not oppose; I only suggested shortening the periods. We should not increase people's dissatisfaction. If everything were done correctly, no one would complain. I want to emphasize that we did not say that the executive bodies do not think about the people. Yes, there are shortcomings, and they need to be corrected," he stated.
The deputy also noted that one could talk about the populism of deputies if there was only a year or two left until the elections, but they still have five years ahead. "We express our opinions not to appear good. For example, in Tash-Komur, wastewater is discharged into the Naryn River. This threatens people's health. I conveyed the appeals of 26.9 thousand citizens. Am I also a populist? I was elected to represent the interests of voters," Su laymanov concluded.
