At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Finance, Budget, Entrepreneurship, and Competition, held on February 2, Beksultan Tokonov, the director of the State Agency for Management of State Property, presented a report on the progress of privatization for 2023-2025.

He reported that the privatization program includes 24 facilities, of which four have been sold during the specified period:

The total amount from the sales amounted to 15 billion 41 million 580 thousand 339 soms.

In addition, Tokonov noted that three facilities will continue to operate as joint-stock companies with a 100% state share:

Deputy Bekeshev asked a question regarding the absence of information about the sale of "Keremet Bank" in the report.

In response, Tokonov promised to provide a written answer.

The deputy emphasized that the report should contain complete information. He noted: "The National Bank transferred the bank to the government, and if the government sold it, for what amount? The National Bank indicated a value of 8 billion soms, and the government could not sell below this price. How much money has been received in the budget?"

Tokonov clarified that the state owns 0.74% of "Keremet Bank."

He also added: "Work on this issue is ongoing. The full amount has not yet been received."

Bekeshev expressed confusion: "There is something unclear happening around this issue. If we are dealing with the sale of such assets, there should be some benefit from it." He also inquired whether the state has a stake in the "Eurasian Savings Bank."

To which the director of the state agency responded negatively.
