The Cabinet is presenting new strict food product control regulations for discussion.
The project provides for the approval of two main documents: the procedure for mandatory confirmation of compliance for machines, equipment, materials, and products used in the production and sale of food, as well as a list of information for state monitoring and the rules for its provision by customs and certification authorities.
It is particularly noted that all materials and products that come into contact with food must have documentary confirmation of compliance with the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union.
This requirement is aimed at preventing the use of unsafe substances and protecting consumer rights.
The explanatory note states that the project does not introduce additional obligations but merely systematizes existing requirements, simplifying their interpretation and practical application. The creation of unified procedures will allow for the formation of a comprehensive digital database, improve interaction between agencies, and implement a risk-oriented approach in food quality control.
According to the presented document, ministries and agencies are given six months to align their regulatory acts with the new rules. Accredited certification bodies must also adhere to the updated procedure.
