Ishak Masaliev: The alliance between Japarov and Tashiev will remain strong

Sadyr Japarov has been in power for five years. During this period, not only have the topics on the agenda changed, but the structure of power itself has evolved, where personal connections and alliances have begun to play an important role. With the elections approaching, the public is increasingly discussing both the achievements of the authorities and the future interactions of key figures.

Former deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Ishak Masaliev analyzes the internal political dynamics in an interview with the BBC. He emphasizes the strength of the alliance between Sadyr Japarov and Kamchybek Tashiev, as well as the possible disagreements and their impact on the upcoming political cycle. Masaliev highlights that it is personal trust and a shared political path that determine the stability of the current power.

Ishak Masaliev notes: "They cannot be compared to the tandem of Almazbek Atambayev and Sooronbay Jeenbekov. The former came together against the backdrop of power and public events, while these two united in difficult times and together overcame many significant events. I am confident that they will not part ways and will maintain friendly relations. Perhaps one of them will leave active politics, but there will be no confrontation between them."

Politics is not constant, and over time disagreements are inevitable. Nevertheless, the foundation of their relationship will remain friendly. According to my information, disputes and disagreements sometimes arise between them, which is quite natural, considering that they are not relatives. Such situations have occurred before.

While serving as a deputy, I had the opportunity to interact with both of them, so I am familiar with the situation from the inside. Each of them has found their niche, and they show mutual respect. An open conflict is unlikely to occur.

With the presidential elections approaching, there is a growing interest in society. Many are trying to predict who will become the next president and how Japarov and Tashiev will maintain their positions in politics.

In my opinion, Tashiev is already prepared for the upcoming elections. I do not rule out that he is purposefully moving in this direction. Such circumstances occur in politics. He has repeatedly stated that he does not aspire to the presidency. However, often what a person publicly renounces becomes relevant for them," Masaliev concluded.
