Today, at the meeting of the "Mekenchil" deputy group, Deputy Mayor Azamat Kadyrov announced plans to transform part of the agricultural lands in Bishkek into construction zones. This announcement was made during the discussion of the city’s General Plan project until 2050.

The issue was raised by deputy Erkeaiym Seitkazieva, who inquired whether the General Plan takes into account the expansion of the city’s territory and changes in the administrative-territorial division. She also asked for clarification on what status the remaining agricultural land and pastures would have.

Kadyrov confirmed that public hearings on the General Plan project have been completed. "According to the project, part of the agricultural lands will be allocated for construction, specifically for the creation of 'Bishkek City Center' in the area of the village of Orok and development in the 'Tunguch' area," he added.

Additionally, the Deputy Mayor noted that special units will be established in each akimat to manage agricultural lands, and a new position of Deputy Akim will be introduced, responsible for these lands.
