At a recent meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu reported that there is a rise in prices in cafes, restaurants, taxis, and hairdressers in Kyrgyzstan, which exceeds prices abroad.
He noted that this causes dissatisfaction among the population, and he receives many complaints.
“The service charge in cafes and restaurants has been canceled, but its cost has been transferred to the prices of dishes. As a result, people did not feel a decrease in prices; on the contrary, expenses remained the same or even increased. The Cabinet of Ministers should carefully analyze the situation before implementing any reforms,” the speaker emphasized.
