Sadyr Japarov met with the permanent representatives of foreign states to the UN.

The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, held a meeting with the permanent representatives of various countries to the United Nations. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

During the meeting, current international issues were discussed, including the geopolitical situation, security challenges at both international and regional levels, as well as the fight against terrorism and extremism, climate change, nuclear non-proliferation, and sustainable development goals.

“The President emphasized Kyrgyzstan's readiness to continue efforts to strengthen international security, support initiatives aimed at sustainable development, and promote an agenda that represents the interests of small and developing countries. Sadyr Japarov noted that the joint actions of the international community are an important factor for achieving long-term stability and peace,” the press service stated.

UN representatives noted the positive results in the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan, its active and consistent position in strengthening international cooperation, the peaceful resolution of regional conflicts and border disputes, as well as in developing regional dialogue and promoting initiatives in sustainable development.


“Special attention was paid to the role of Kyrgyzstan as a country that consistently defends the interests of small and developing states and advocates for a more inclusive and fair international order. The meeting was attended by permanent representatives of the UN from Andorra, Chad, Gabon, Guatemala, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Namibia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, as well as South Sudan,” the press service added.
