Luxury cars provided, but no drivers: lawmakers need to pay out of their own pockets

The elected representatives from the Jogorku Kenesh have received new cars from the Chinese manufacturer Li Xiang L7, the delivery of which was discussed as early as spring 2025. It has been reported that the cars are already in the parliament's parking lot and ready for use.

However, the newly acquired crossovers came with an unexpected nuance: drivers will not be provided for them. Deputies will have to hire and pay for drivers themselves. Some parliamentarians have already stated that they would prefer to drive the official cars themselves, without the involvement of drivers.

So far, no additional clarifications regarding the financing of drivers from the Jogorku Kenesh have been provided.
